On April 14, 2025, Vinh University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Andrews University (USA) during a working session at Vinh University.
Andrews University is one of the largest and oldest universities in the Midwestern United States. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Andrews University has been ranked as one of the best private universities in the United States by both U.S. News & World Report and Forbes. Andrews University is considered one of the top research institutions in the USA.

At the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Bá Tiến (Vice President of Vinh University) expressed the university‘s desire to cooperate with Andrews University in undergraduate and postgraduate joint training programs. The goal is to provide high-quality, professional human resources with strong skills, expertise, and adaptability to technological development and international work environments.

Dr. Nguyễn Việt Anh (Director of Andrews University‘s training programs in Vietnam) announced his university’s desire to implement Andrews’ The Power MBA (a U.S. standard Master of Business Administration program) at Vinh University.
The program is taught primarily by American professors and PhDs from Andrews University. The course includes original content, modified to reflect Vietnam‘s economic factors—emphasizing practical usage in today’s economic landscape.
After 18 months of study, participants will receive an internationally recognized degree awarded by Andrews University and recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. The program is accredited by the IACBE (International Accreditation Council for Business Education) and has been successfully implemented in other prestigious Vietnamese universities.

Following discussions, the two institutions agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in order to proceed towards a cooperative training agreement. Accordingly, the Master of Business Administration program will be co-organized by Vinh University and Andrews University. The MBA degree will be conferred by Andrews University, with all subject matter in the program being delivered in English. Teaching will be conducted at Vinh University‘s campus based on academic guidelines designed and provided by Andrews University.
The program consists of 33 credited hours of core courses. For students lacking sufficient academic business background, an additional nine foundational courses will be required. As an alternative, these foundational courses can be waived if a student attains an Andrews University MBA Foundation Certificate.
