Vinh University held the opening ceremony of the 59th course on September 25, 2018. At the same time, the University commended excellent students for the academic year 2017-2018 and launched the emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the University's establishment (1959 - 2019).
The ceremony was held with the participation of a number of representatives from provincial authorities, local universities and colleges, and enterprises; especially the attendance of teachers, faculty members, staff, and students of whom 3,000 new undergraduates.
After the publication of the official decision on the 59th course student admission, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoa Du, Chairman of the University’s Council, read the letter of greetings by the President of the SR. of Vietnam on the opening of the new academic year 2018-2019.
On behalf of Vinh University, Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, President, gave a welcoming speech to new students at Vinh University and congratulated students who got excellent results in the academic year 2017-2018. He also emphasized the importance of student self-determination in the 4.0 industry revolution. Apart from their specialized knowledge, they should equip themselves with competences, attitudes, etc.if not they will be replaced by an other workforce. The year 2019 will also see the 60th anniversary of Vinh University, which marks a long pathway of human resource education. On this occasion, the President of Vinh University launched the emulation movement to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the University.
Representative of the 59th course students, Ms. Dau Huyen Tram, majored in business administration, expressed her excitement and commitment to study well during their study pathway. She also committed to implement the school’s motto: “Brave-Wise-Civilized-Volunteer”.
After speeches by representatives of different related departments, the President of Vinh University drummed to mark the beginning of the new academic year 2018-2019.
