According to this adjustment, the new schedule of the academic year 2019-2020 is as follows:
- The academic year ends before July 15, 2020.
- The national high school graduation examinations will be held from August 8-11, 2020.
Based on this schedule, the presidents of provinces and state-run cities decide by themselves the right time for students to come back to school to assure the above schedule and the security of students during the Coronavirus outbreak.
While students are absent from school, the Presidents of the People's Committee of the provinces or state-run cities are requested to instruct Departments of Education and Training to continue reviewing and streamlining the teaching content under the guidance of the MOET, and to deploy online teaching/learning, lesson review, and assessments.
The MOET continues to closely follow the situation of disease development and control to timely guide localities in the process of implementing the 2019-2020 school year plan.
