Dear Lao and Thai Students at Vinh University,

On the occasion of 42 years of Lao PDR National Day (2/12/1975 - 2/12/2017), 90 years of the Kingdom of Thailand’s National Day (5/12/1927 - 5/12/2017), on behalf of Vinh University’s Communist Party’s Committee, Directorate, University’s Council, teachers and students, I would like to send all of you my greatest greetings.

During the history, the special relationship between Lao PDR and Vietnam founded by former president Kaysone Phomvihane, Prince Souphanouvong and former President Ho Chi Minh has been nourished and strengthened by generations of leaders of two nations. This relation has become loyal, pure and unique in the world. It is considered as an invaluable fortune of two peoples, which assures the victory of our revolutions.

The cooperative relations between Vietnam and Thailand has been gradually strengthened in the recent years. Our two countries have made successful cooperation within ASEAN, regional and international communities. We are carrying out the project of traffic network development through Laos and Cambodia. Thailand favours the Vietnamese community by enacting several positive policies among which educational and cultural exchange activities. The results of cooperation must be valuable.

The celebration of Lao and Thai National days is a wonderful opportunity to once more confirm our relationships, notably the year 2017 is celebrating 55 years of diplomatic relation (5/9/1962 - 5/9/2017), 40 years of Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (18/7/1977 - 18/7/2017) with Laos, and 90 years of the National day of Thailand (5/12/1927 - 5/12/2017).

Dear all Lao and Thai students,
