Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, President, stated that student research strengthening is an important activity to improve the education quality at Vinh University. The latter always deservedly invests in research in general.

In the academic year 2016-2017, Vinh University’s students have conducted several qualified research works and thesis. There are 43 institutional research works conducted by students. In 2016, three research works got ministerial prizes known as Creating an integrated experimental set for teaching wave optics; the reality of traffic law respect, etc.
Professor Dinh Xuan Khoa also said that many qualified students had not actively integrated to conduct research. They were afraid of difficulties and don’t have any passion for research, so the quality of research work was not as good as he had expected.
He added that some young teachers have not been sufficiently interested in research activity, they have not orientated students in research and made plans for student research. This affects the quality of student research at Vinh University.
To strengthen this activity, Vinh University sets many research missions to training departments and schools. Lecturers and students accordingly have to make their plan for research and to focus on the quality of each research they will conduct.
