As part of the training course, a group of 32 tourism-majored students and faculty from Vinh University participated in an exchange program at Nakhon Phanom University, Thailand in July 2024. The program involved knowledge exchange and practical experience on tourism, history, culture, traditions, and local cuisine in the central Mekong River Delta Region, Nakhon Phanom province. It also included discussions on measures to enhance cooperation in education, research, cultural and artistic exchanges, scholarship support for lecturers and students, and Thai-Vietnamese art performances...
During the two-week program, the delegation were engaged in knowledge and practical experience exchange on tourism and hotel management, visited and explored the history, culture, and daily life of the people in the Nakhon Phanom region. The students also worked with their peers at various departments of Nakhon Phanom University, including the College of Tourism and Service Industry, the Faculty of Science and Arts, and the International Aviation College.
In addition, the delegation laid flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial in Nakhon Phanom province and visited Pra That Phanom Temple, Saint Joseph Ban Kham Koem Church, and Saint Anna Nong Saeng Church...
At the conclusion of the program, the President of Nakhon Phanom University awarded certificates of completion to the faculty members and 29 students. Vinh University will receive a group of Thai exchange students next year.
