Every year, Vinh University publishes hundreds of scientific papers in reputable international journals.

In 2023, the university had 236 scientific works published in international journals indexed in both the Web of Science and Scopus (the highest number to date and surpassing the target set by the Party Committee‘s resolution for two hundred papers by 2025). Particularly noteworthy was a submission by the research group in Optics published by a high-impact international journal (receiving a 7.8 Impact Factor). The group with the highest international publication rate was the Institute of Biochemical Technology—Environment, with a publication rate of 1.77 papers per faculty member.

In 2023, Vinh University had fifty-seven scientific papers published in respected international journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus (Quarters 1 and 2), which were lauded by the Ministry of Education and Training.
