Vinh University‘s educational program is aimed at the success of its students. Based on the international CDIO model, Vinh University‘s focus is on fostering global professional skills for students in accordance with UNESCO‘s four pillars of learning: learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be.
Additionally, the university has established Vietnamese language training programs that allow foreign learners the opportunity to study in any field. As a result, many of our graduates have returned to their home countries and achieved great success.
Vinh University transitioned from the academic year-based training method to the credit-based training method in 2007. In the years 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015, the university reviewed, updated, and adjusted the training programs of all majors based on the demands of the professional context and the feedback from stakeholders.
In 2016, facing the challenges of international integration and the need to meet social demands in training, the university developed and implemented a regular undergraduate training program based on the CDIO approach. The CDIO-based training program was first implemented in 2017. In the years 2018, 2019, and 2020, the university continued to review and update the teaching programs, detailed syllabi, and assessment methods.
In 2021, in response to the changing demands and challenges of the global educational and professional landscape, the university continued to review, update, and adjust the CDIO-based training program with a focus on enhancing the CDIO competencies of students, increasing professional experience, improving IT and foreign language standards, emphasizing project-based learning, and thoroughly implementing outcome-based assessment.
