Vinh University, Viet Nam and West Pomeranian University of Technology (WPUT), Szczecin, Poland seek candidates for the Erasmus Plus Scholarship in the program of cooperation between the two universities.

 

Program Overview:

Candidates: Lecturers.

Number of scholarships: 01.

Majors: Fisheries or related areas.

Mission: 

In the attachment please find the proposed teaching programme for candidates for the training week planned at WPUT in the period 8 – 12 April 2019.

 

The programme specifies the target group as academic teachers wishing to enhance their teaching and curricula development skills (preferred areas and disciplines covered by Inter-Institutional Agreement).

 

Participants will take part in a central training by an invited expert, observe classes at the cooperating faculty, discuss the teaching methods (both observed and employed by them in their daily work) and get an insight  into WPUT’s procedure of evaluating academic staff. They are also expected to present their home university’s evaluation system of academic teachers, with special emphasis on teaching activities (please refer to the attachment).

 

Candidate qualifications:

Candidates nominated for this program should:

- Have appropriate major;

- Be proficient in English as required by the program, more specifically at least level B2 (CEFR) of English for lecturers;

- Meet other requirements by Erasmus Plus Scholarship Program.

Benefits:

- The  lecturers are beneficiary of 140 EUR/day during 7 days, and lump sum for travel expenses.

Before going to Poland, the grantees will sign a contract with the program and be advanced 50% of the total granted amount transferred to the grantee’s bank account.

In addition, the grantees will be supported in terms of immigration procedures and other related procedures by WPUT and Vinh University for the whole participation time.

Selection:

The President of Vinh University establishes the selection committee for the Program.

Involved lecturers get the application dossier at the Department of Research and International Affairs from January 29, 2019, complete the dossier and submit it to above department before February 12, 2019.

The selection committee will assess candidate dossiers, specialized knowledge and English tests from February 12, 2019 to February 13, 2019.

The final result will be sent to WPUT before February 15, 2019.

WPUT will give final decision on candidate selection and send the necessary documents for visa application to the selected candidates.
