The group of volunteers includes Muhammad Abdul Syakir Bin Hj Basri and Mohamad Hazwan Syafiq Bin Jamaluddin. Both come from Brunei.

On behalf of Vinh University, Mr. Tran Ba Tien, Ph.D., Vice President for international relations, assigned involved departments to cooperate with these volunteers to carry out English language support program for the above period. According to his assignment, the Department of Foreign Languages will set up working schedule conformable to their expertise and desire. Thus, they will support English students, assist teachers in the classrooms, and organize activities in favor of language learning. For very short time, the volunteers will work online due to coronavirus outbreak in Asia.

At the first meeting at the Department of Foreign Languages, Muhammad Abdul Syakir Bin Hj Basri and Mohamad Hazwan Syafiq Bin Jamaluddin expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of Vinh University as well as the Department of Foreign Languages and wanted to work right after the meeting. They agreed with the arrangements done by Vinh University and the Department of Foreign Languages. They hope that the program will be helpful and beneficial for both the University and volunteers themselves. According to the schedule, they will start working on February 3rd, 2020.

Vinh University and SJ Vietnam signed the cooperation in 2015. The program mainly focuses on language learning support. From 2015, SJ Vietnam has sent three groups of volunteers to Vinh University. Each groups stayed for one semester. In the coming time, both partners will promote the cooperation by organizing more volunteering programs.
