The master‘s degree program has two orientations: research and application. The regular training format
applies to both programs, while the apprenticeship training format applies specifically to the
application-oriented program.
The organization of teaching activities for each training format follows the Higher Education Training Regulations set forth by the Ministry of Education and Training.
A comprehensive training plan is established to guide learners in each format, with the training duration determined as follows:
Vinh University transitioned its master‘s training program from the annual system to the credit-based system in 2007. In the years 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015, the university reviewed, updated, and adjusted the training programs of all disciplines based on the requirements of the professional context and the feedback from stakeholders.
In 2017, facing the challenges of international integration and training to meet societal needs, the university developed and advanced its master‘s training program based on the CDIO approach, which was implemented for the 2018 admission cohort. In the years 2020 and 2022, the university continued to review, update the teaching program, detailed syllabi, and evaluation methods.
In 2023, in response to new requirements from the domestic and international professional context, the
university continued to review, update, and adjust the master‘s training program based on the CDIO
approach, focusing on enhancing students‘ CDIO competencies, increasing professional experience,
emphasizing project-based learning, and conducting outcome-based teaching and assessment of student
performance.
