A successful conference on Cooperation in training high quality human resources for Lao PDR

The conference was held with the participation of representatives of Lao Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES), 13 provincial departments of education and sports, leaders of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Vinh University and Vinh University’s alumni in Laos.

To implement policies by the Vietnam Communist Party and State on promoting friendship between Vietnam and Lao PDR, Vinh University has trained thousands of bachelors, engineers, masters, and doctors who have made a great contribution to the comprehensive reform of Laos for 15 years. Recognizing such contributions of Vinh University to education and training of high-quality human resources, President of Lao PDR had rewarded the Medals of Friendship for Vinh University in 2009, 2011 and 2017.

Since 2018, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Lao PDR has implemented measures to improve the quality of staff. Leaders of Lao MOES requested Vinh University to raise a number of solutions to enhance training quality in line with the requirements of Lao national construction and development.

The number of Lao students has increased meanwhile economic conditions of Lao households are limited and difficult. Therefore, the selection of higher education institutions in Vietnam, especially Vinh University with favorable offers  is adaptable to Lao households.

In the conference, delegates evaluated results of 15-year cooperation on human resource training for provinces in Laos by Vinh University and discussed about solutions of enrollment coordination between departments of education and sports, universities in the Northern area of Thailand. Parties agreed to continue comprehensive implementation of high quality human resource training in the integration time for Lao PDR.

Also did Vinh University announce the decision on the establishment of Contacting Board of alumni of Vinh University in Lao PDR which includes 16 members.
