1. Qualification requirements
Overseas students wishing to enroll at Vinh University must meet certain requirements as per Vietnamese education law. A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required for the undergraduate program, a bachelor’s degree for the master program, and a master’s degree for the doctoral program (PhD). In addition, applicants for any major or level of training must possess a Level 4/B2 Vietnamese certificate. Those who do not have the required proficiency level will take a one-year intensive Vietnamese course before being admitted to their degree programs.
2. Health conditions
As per Vietnam’s Ministry of Health, all Vinh University applicants must undergo a health check at the university’s Healthcare Center and be issued a medical clearance before starting their studies.
3. Application profile
Applicants must provide documentation in their native language as well as a certified translation, in Vietnamese or English. Here is a list of the required documents:
3.1. Application form.
3.2. CV (with photograph and certification by the local authority).
3.3. Diploma and academic transcript.
3.4. Health check with a photograph provided by a provincial or communal hospital (taken within 6 months of application submission).
3.5. Certificate of Vietnamese Proficiency (if the applicant does not hold this certificate, he/she must take a one-year Vietnamese language course at Vinh University).
3.6 An employer’s letter of permission for overseas study (if applicable).
3.7. Financial statement to guarantee student’s studies at Vinh University.
3.8. Research proposal (PhD applicant).
3.9. Two Recommendation letters (PhD applicant).
3.10. Proofs of aptitude, special courses, achievements, etc. (if any).
3.11. Passport with a validity of more than 6 months (notified copy with the original for confirmation and immigration procedural management).
3.12. Offer letter (original).
3.13. Eight color photographs (3x4 cm, headshots).
