Admission Information

Vinh University offers 62 undergraduate programs, 39 master‘s programs, and 17 doctoral programs, which are instructed in Vietnamese (except for English Linguistics and English Teacher Education). International students who have no or limited Vietnamese proficiency must take a one-year intensive Vietnamese course before they attend their disciplinary programs.
As per the Vietnamese Proficiency Framework for Foreigners, applicants applying for any degree program (undergraduate, Master‘s, or Ph.D.) taught in Vietnamese must have either a minimum level 4 Vietnamese language proficiency certificate (equivalent to B2 CEFR) or have graduated from a university (or equivalent qualifier) from a program taught in Vietnamese.
Foreign nationals wishing to pursue a degree in Vietnam will be assessed by the Admission Board of Vinh University based on their chosen field of study, previous academic performance, and Vietnamese language proficiency for admission consideration. In cases where there are international treaties or agreements between the Vietnamese government and foreign governments or international organizations regarding the admission of foreign nationals to Vietnam for master‘s degree studies, the provisions of such treaties or cooperation agreements shall apply.
